Isn't Henry Mouse from Whiff of Joy the cutest mouse ever? Well other than Maddies fimo Calvin mouse that is! He makes me laugh!
I've had this stamp for ages and since having a big sort out of my craft supplies recently I organised all my stamps and realised how many unused or neglected stamps I have and made a resolve to set out to finally use them!! I also love cupcakes, so this stamp was a winner. I've got lots of birthdays etc coming up so thought I better find some time to make some cards before I get too busy. As mentioned in my previous post I've got a busy spell coming up!
Supplies: image - Whiff of Joy coloured with promarkers/sentiment - Unity/DP - My Minds Eye - Wild Asparagus, Basic Grey/Flowers - Wild Orchid crafts/Tools - nesties, SU scallop circle punches, distress tool.
Talking of clear outs I'll be adding some more craft items from my clear out to ebay this week, so check it out, link is in the side bar, you might just grab a bargain! There will be a few Stampin' up items on there.
Hope your week is off to a good start. Don't forget to enter my candyhere!
Phew what a busy few weeks and it's only set to get busier! EEK!! I have got a week away on a residential course in London coming up, looking forward to the course just not the time it will take away. Been doing a fair bit of studying for work recently. Also we are looking into Wedding venues etc, hoping to set a date for our big day shortly. I've also got family visiting from Jersey in May, some family birthdays etc, a 40th birthday party and preparations for our upcoming Florida holiday. I've got my best friends wedding invites to do too. I'm also just starting that fitness ragime that I wanted to start at the beginning of the year. I better get my skates on as not long till our holiday and feel so out of shape! As well as work, chores etc, life just gets in the way sometimes! So apologies in advance if I don't get chance to post much, I will try, crafting is my outlet and way to relax so hopefully I will find time to create and share it with you. I'm still visiting your blogs too, I'll try to comment but forgive me if I don't get chance. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm still here, just busy!

Happy Easter, hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend! Don't eat too much chocolate (like that's going to happen!).
On Friday I had a lovely day with my friend Gemma and her mum, Jan. Jan was teaching us to sew!! Now I have always wanted to me able to sew, but my past experience amounted to making a pair of oven gloves at school and a cushion with my friend Caroline (with which I needed a lot of help)! Jan was a great teacher and was very patient with us! Big thanks to her for giving up her time for us and to Gem for having me over, it was a great way to spend Good Friday! I was really pleased with what we had made and thought I'd share it here with you. I have a long way to go but feel that I have made a good start and feel some more sewing coming on the weeks and months to come!
Now for this doorstop, I needed a lot of help and guidance, it was tricky and Jan was a star! I don't think I'll attempt one of these on my own just yet! I love the blue gingham and heart and it goes lovely in my bathroom!
The next item was a cushion, which was simpler to make and I'm really pleased with it because it goes lovely in my bedroom, I love the fabric which was from my favourite American Country craft and quilting shop in Chester - Liberty Bell, I feel another trip to Chester coming on for more fabric etc!!! I have also used some felt, sizzix dies, big shot and PTI buttons for the flowers, proving that these tools etc are very versatile!
I feel a lot of cushion making coming on!!! At least my box of sewing materials I've collected are finally being used!
I'll have a card and candy to share in the next few days.
I can't believe that it is April already! the year is flying by, sorry for lack of blogging, haven't had much time to craft this past week, it's been a busy and tiring one and has left me feeling not so good, which is annoying when I've been so motivated and positive lately! Work has been a bit stressful, had to do some studying too and also had to package all second lot of ebay items and get them in the post. I'm hoping I can recharge my batteries over the weekend. I haven't forgotten about the candy I promised either, it's coming just need to put it all together!
I thought I better do an Easter card as it is upon us, I haven't got many Easter themed stamps actually, I will have to right that for next year won't I! any excuse ;-) I did however manage to whip up this quick one tonight. Sorry for poor picture quality!
